Never going back to this 10% experience holding hands with a gamepad, sorry. If you don’t know what Oculus Developer Hub (ODH) is: it’s a Windows & macOS app designed to make it easier to manage & develop for Oculus Quests. Maybe it's especially crappy for me since I used non-VR head tracking for decades and I'm a VR user since Oculus DK 1, which meant I started on gamepads but was so happy when Touch came out. Oculus Developer Hub 1.8.0 adds the ability to remotely launch URLs in Oculus Browser, including for WebXR experiences. Sadly gamepad is just a very crappy input method in VR. I'm wondering if VR has been improved since then. I now have a Quest 2, and see Subnautica received some major updates lately. After 10 minutes I decided VR in subnautica wasn't for me. That said it's nice to see a mod like this happening. Camera positions and menu navigation and the interface with KB/Mouse felt lacking much needed QoL for the VR experience. That said there's many things that make or break a VR experience like spatial audio etc. I'm not very keen on repeating the wikipedia here. I recommend reading up what virtual reality means for starters. Below Zero presents entirely new environments for you to survive, study, and explore. Maneuver between erupting Thermal Vents to discover ancient alien artifacts. Quest two controllers problem in Talk VR 10-23-2023. Clamber up snow covered peaks and venture into the icy caves of Glacial Basin. Solved: Dear Community, I purchased Subnautica from Oculus Home and i have big troubles playing the game. This will make it easier for others to answer your question. Become mesmerized by the glittering, mammoth crystals of the Crystal Caverns. Please provide a complete list of the features that, in your opinion, need to be included in a VR mod. Have you considered a kickstarter for the VR version of Below Zero? I'd gladly pay extra.Įven if the VR audience might be less than 0.1 today, slowly but steadily more and more people are acquiring VR devices and I bet anyone who has played Subnautica on the PC would also want to play in VR if they could (and dare).Αναρτήθηκε αρχικά από Madfish:Is there a mod that doesn't just hack the viewport of the game and provides an actual VR experience including but but not limited to representing your hands in the actual game so you can interact with tools and objects using your real hands and not just a gamepad? I used airlink and launched it from steam VR. I could be setting it up wrong or something so if anyone has tried it and it actually work please reply and tell me what you did. I tried it out and sadily it doesnt work. It is the most beautiful (and terrifying) experience and my favorite VR game still. Subermersed Vr mod on subnautica does not work with Oculus quest 2. I sure am happy you went that extra mile and made the VR version. We're a small developer and have to pick our battles. Unfortunately, based on our own data, the VR audience is less than 0.1% of players. They need a proper design, implementation & testing. It would take some significant resources for us to design and implement them properly. Touch controllers, and their APIs were not around. Автор сообщения: ObraxisWhen we did the VR implementation, we were one of the first. The touch controllers can (mostly) handle the rest. I still have to use the keyboard for the Save menu and to Self-scan and de-rez items. It would be a huge improvement if they could make the right stick work. The right thumbstick doesn't work at all, but the left does. I eventually had to setup a custom controller binding on the left stick to look left and right to be able to turn left and right with the seamoth. I got an Oculus Quest 1 and I look around by physically turning my head and looking around, it allows me to look in all directions. Go to input in the virtual desktop on quest and enable gamepad emulator (top box only) 4. Think of it as practice for Below Zero's VR controls. Install Virtual Desktop on quest and virtual desktop streamer on pc 3. No Man's Sky managed some good controls, you can too. After further research I discovered its been this way awhile and people have resorted to using keyboard/mouse with VR just to play.Ĭome on guys. The controls are an unmitigated disaster and completely unplayable. And then I discovered I could move forward, backwards but I couldn't look around. Subnautica is in my Top 5 Best Games ever list and knowing it had VR ability made it the first game I wanted to try. Автор сообщения: SnorlaxRaeI just got an Oculus Rift S.
